Why We Love Hervey Bay

There are so many things to love about our town. Whether you are starting out or slowing down, Hervey Bay is the place to be.

Between the beaches (17km of Esplanade to be exact), the variety of cafes, restaurants, schools, shops and parks which cater to all ages. The short boat ride over to K’Gari, the Urangan Pier, Wetside Water Park, the Botanic Gardens and Whale watching – just to name a few. Our town has a vast things to see and do whilst offering a relaxed family lifestyle.

At the far eastern end of The Esplanade, you will find the historic Urangan Pier. Built-in 1917, this impressive pier is 880 metres long and was originally constructed to assist with exports of sugar, coal and timber from the area. Urangan Pier is now a popular fishing spot for tourists and locals alike.

Hervey Bay is conveniently located just a couple of hours away from major cities, our relaxed coastal town is renowned for its superb weather, stunning beaches and whale watching, no wonder why it is a popular holiday destination.
